On 27th February, the Flame Tree Food Co-op will be one year old! Stay posted for news of a celebration on March 13. Do you have something stylish to wear to the upcoming birthday party? Don’t forget about our great organic cotton t-shirts, available in a range of colors and sizes.
Meantime, our co-op has been in the news lately. You may have heard an interview on ABC Illawarra’s morning show on Friday February 18. Nick Rheinberger from ABC interviewed Lizzie Rose, one of our directors, and between them (and with some helpful interjections from Lizzie’s baby son) they painted a great word picture of our co-op. The interview is not posted on the abc website, but if we can track it down, we promise to post info on how to hear it.
Earlier in the year, the Illawarra Mercury Weekender magazine’s Take Two column featured another two of our founding members and directors, Alison McDonald and Amanda Harris. To read a copy of that interview, with some interesting history on the birth of the co-op, click here.
Great resources for sharing information about the co-op with your friends and family. Thanks to Erin O’Dwyer for arranging these interviews, and to Alison, Amanda, Lizzie (and of course baby Harry) for participating!
